BE LOVE, HAVE JOY; HAVE COURAGE, BE EMPOWERED!

This event, taking place on the UN International Day for Tolerance, aligns with India’s long-standing tradition of unity in diversity. The theme, “Be Love, Have Joy; Have Courage, Be Empowered!” embodies the spirit of resilience and the transformative journey of young leaders in Mumbai and across India as they build a sustainable future.

AUTHOR DR. WALTER L. CHRISTMAN

ABOUT THE BOOK

Inspired by the courage and conviction of young leaders like Greta Thunberg, Building Global Resilience: A Call to Action is a bold manifesto authored by Dr. Walter L. Christman, co-founder of the One Million Youth Leaders for Sustainable Development Beyond 2030 (1M2030) initiative in collaboration with the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR).

The book empowers India’s youth to take decisive steps toward addressing global challenges such as climate change, social inequality, and economic disparity. Drawing from Dr. Christman’s background in the U.S. Army Special Forces and his extensive international advocacy work, this book presents a new framework for global cooperation, combining top-down alliances with grassroots movements to create a resilient and sustainable future.

The accompanying facilitation guide, Empowering Change: Answering the Call to Action, offers practical tools for educators, leaders, and changemakers in India and worldwide to implement these strategies in real-world contexts.
